The Ecogold Environmental Fund is one of many environmental initiatives set forth by Spring Power & Gas. This private fund is our way of supporting and enabling eco-minded organizations through monetary contributions.

To put it simply, our company partners with a variety of environmental organizations to provide them with the financial resources necessary to accomplish their goals and make a noticeable difference in their local communities.

Objective

The main objective of the Ecogold Environmental Fund is quite simple: to help preserve and protect the planet for future generations.

Through this fund, Spring Power & Gas aims to contribute to positive changes in the environment, including the reduction of emissions from fossil fuels and greenhouse gases.

In addition to making a direct positive impact on the world we live in, we also strive to help environmental organizations increase awareness and enable individuals across the globe with the tools and information they need to make a difference.

Partners

At Spring Power & Gas, we’re quite mindful of the environmental initiatives and organizations that we choose to contribute funding to. Before a new partner is accepted, we conduct a thorough screening process to ensure the organization meets a number of important requirements.

Such requirements include, but are not limited to, the following list:

  • The organization enforces and displays similar values to Spring Power & Gas, including accountability, proactive action, and sustainability.
  • The organization has developed long-term action plans to achieve sustainable results.
    The benefit of both the environment and the people are taken into consideration for any plans, objectives, and long-term goals.
    There is a desire to take proactive measures in contributing positively to the environment and creating united communities of eco-conscious individuals.
    The organization incorporates grassroots initiatives to increase awareness about the dangers our world is currently facing.

Spring Power & Gas is not inclined to fund political candidates or parties, type III organizations that act as a supporting entity, private benefits, or lobbying organizations.

Alliance for a Living Ocean

Alliance for a Living Ocean is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 for the primary purpose of reducing waste that made its way to the New Jersey coastline (about 50 miles of trash). This inspiring institution mobilizes several environmental initiatives to end ocean dumping for good — a common practice that is horribly detrimental to marine life and related ecosystems.

The contributions from our Ecogold Environmental Fund are put toward research, spreading awareness, and achieving active participation from members in the local community.

Earthwatch Institute

Earthwatch Institute is a powerful environmental organization and an international charity. The primary objective of Earthwatch Institute is to engage, educate, and enable individuals from all over the world on various eco-centered topics and practices.

Spring Power & Gas partnered with Earthwatch Institute and through our private fund, we were able to contribute to the influence of their expedition, “Climate Change: Sea to Trees at Acadia National Park”.

The expedition is geared toward educating and inspiring youth participants, as well as equipping them with the knowledge and experience they need to make a real difference in the world around them.

Bikemore

Bikemore, a bike advocacy organization based in Baltimore, Maryland, is another partner of the Spring Power & Gas Ecogold Environmental Fund. This active organization strives to increase the number of people who commute around the city by bike instead of vehicle.

We had the opportunity to sponsor the Bike to Market event on May 7th, 2017, encouraging local individuals to migrate to a more sustainable lifestyle that involves transportation as well as agriculture.
